Foo Fighters have the right idea...

Well, what can I say? Hardly written anything since starting this blog due to (a) being too busy and drumming loads but mainly (b) due to my iMac totally failing in the middle of editting a guitar riff. Turns out the riff killed the drive! Anyway, I'm back up and running but must say I miss the good old days of recording on analogue tape. Everything seemed easier then. I know there was always the chance of the tape getting mangled or accidentaly being recorded over but I seemed able to accept that. These days it's all backing up data or trying to figure out what's gone wrong with the computer. I really don't have the time for all that and would rather focus on just getting it right and playing well. I'm pleased that Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have recorded their latest album on analogue tape. Shows I'm not the only one missing the old days. Can't wait to hear it!
